ESL & Citizenship Program

The English as a Second Language (ESL)/Citizenship Program primarily assists Legal Permanent Residents to become U.S. Citizens. Our services include:
  • U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS) N-400 Application preparation and submission in partnership with Mission Neighborhood Centers, Inc. and Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA). 
  • ESL/Citizenship classes that provide preparation for the USCIS Citizenship test, including review of pertinent U.S. Civics and History information, and practice for the English reading and writing portions of the test.
  • Preparation for the USCIS interview
  • Escort services to the USCIS office for Spanish-speaking legal permanent residents eligible to have the interview conducted in Spanish. Read about eligibility exceptions and accommodations here.
